Meredith Woodley was born and raised in Toronto, ON. After graduating from the National Ballet School of Canada, Meredith danced professionally in several companies in Germany including Ballett Braunschweig, Ballett Kiel, and Tanz Kassel, performing in original works by some of Europe’s most notable dance makers. Upon her return to Toronto, Meredith worked as a freelance dancer in a wide variety of projects with some of Canada’s most acclaimed choreographers, including Matjash Mrozewski, Roberto Campanella, Robert Desrosiers, and Kevin O’Day. She also had the unique opportunity to be featured as a performer with the Art Gallery of Ontario in world-renowned artist Tino Seghal’s groundbreaking work “Kiss”. As a teacher, Meredith has worked as a private coach and rehearsal director, and for various schools throughout the GTA including Randolph School of the Arts and Dance Teq (Kevin Pugh). After taking some time away from dance to raise a family and pursue other endeavours, Meredith is delighted to be joining the inspiring dance community here in Guelph.
