Rowen McBride-Pilon

Rowen is currently completing her BFA Honours at York University in the joint National Ballet School’s Teacher Training Program. Originally from Guelph, Ontario, Rowen trained in modern and contemporary technique forms while performing with the Guelph Youth Dance Company in which she had the opportunity to perform nationally and internationally, including a China tour in 2016. Rowen participated in the 2019/20 York Dance Ensemble where she was able to work with renowned choreographers and dance artists such as Susan Lee, Raine Madison, and Sophie Goyette-Hamels. In June 2019, Rowen premiered her piece disparu in the Guelph Dance Festival’s Emerging Artists Program. She has had the opportunity to train with Iratxe Ansa of Metamorphosis Method and Hannes Langolf at the b12 festival in Berlin, Germany. Upon graduation Rowen will continue to work as a performer, choreographer and teacher.
