Important Info for GYD Dancers 

GYD dancers (ages 19 & under) can attend the show they’re not performing in for just $5! Call 519-763-3000 to reserve (not available online). Young children must be chaperoned (chaperone requires a ticket).

Watching from the Balcony:
Dancers performing before intermission will be taken to the balcony to watch the second half. No ticket needed!

Who Performs?

• All youth classes ages 6+participate in the Spring Show.
• Creative Dance & Pre-Ballet will have an in-studio Open House. Check your portal calendar for details.

Technical Rehearsals:

• Dancers must attend their technical rehearsal to perform.
• Rehearsals follow the same order as the show, so you’ll know if your child is in the first or second half.

• Please be sure to arrive at your arrival call time and enter through the River Run backstage entrance.Your call time is 15 minutes prior to being on stage so please do not be late -or too early 🙂

Costumes:

• GYD invests in costumes so you do not have to! To see what the GYD provides and what you provide for the various classes, please go to your portal. Go to info and scroll down to costumes. All your classes and costume requirements will be listed there.

Performance Drop-off & Pick-up:

• Please drop your dancer off at the River Run backstage entrance at their call time.
• Dancers CANNOT leave early once the performance starts.
• Sign-out after the performance is only at the end of the show for everyone’s safety.
• Dancers ages 8 and under will meet their parents at the backstage door and will be signed out by class. Please be patient 🙂
• Dancers 9 and up will meet their parents in the theatre main lobby.

Ballet 6-9, Ballet 8-10, Apprentice I Ballet, Apprentice II Ballet, Contemporary 6-8, Contemporary 7-8, Jazz 6-8, Jazz 9-11, Hip Hop 6-8, Hip Hop 6-10, Hip Hop 9-11, GYD Company Ballet, Apprentice I (Meredith), Apprentice II (Leslie), Young Company (Kaela, Leslie), GYD Company (Kaela, Jose), Graduation Dance (Tara), Hip Hop Crew (Rebecca).

Wednesday, May 20 – Flying (6:30 PM)

Extra Rehearsal Day for the following classes: Jazz 9-11, Jazz 12-14, Jazz 15 +, Hip Hop 9-11, Hip Hop Crew, Young Company, Red and Blue Companies. Rehearsals are between 4:15-7:30pm. Check your portal for your class times.
