About the Crew

The Guelph Youth Dance hip hop crew offers dedicated dancers an exciting opportunity to perform within the community. Members will have the chance to showcase their talent 3-4 times throughout the year, including performances in the December Open Houses, the Spring Show in May and select GYD Company shows.

Training Requirements

To participate in the crew, dancers are required to take the training class in addition to the choreography class, which will focus on mastering hip hop routines. While not mandatory, enrolling in Jazz classes is highly recommended to enhance technical skills that will be applied in choreography.

Audition Details

During the audition, dancers will learn a short routine and will also be asked to showcase their own choreography (8 counts of 8).
