Summer Intensives 2026

Registration opens February 13, 2026.

Join us this summer for our Summer Dance Intensives, featuring full-day Contemporary Dance Intensives and a half-day Hip Hop Intensive. These programs offer focused training, creative exploration, and the opportunity to work with an inspiring guest artist in a supportive and professional environment.

Contemporary Dance Summer Intensives

Week I: June 29 – July 3, 2026

Company Intensive (Mandatory)

This intensive is mandatory and open only to Red and Blue Company members born between 2009 and 2012.

  • Full days of contemporary dance technique, ballet, conditioning, and new contemporary dance repertoire
  • Repertoire creation with special guest artist Kai Fitzpatrick
  • Mandatory for all 2026–2027 Company dancers
  • Schedule: 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM
  • Informal showing: Friday, 3:00 – 3:45 PM
  • Cost: $425
  • Please note: class will take place on July 1st

Week II: July 6 – 10, 2026

Open Contemporary Dance Intensive

Open to all dancers born between 2012 and 2017.

  • Full days of contemporary, ballet, conditioning, and jazz
  • Learn new dance repertoire with special guest artist Kai Fitzpatrick (Contemporary)
  • Highly recommended for all 2026–2027 Young Company and Apprentice Company dancers, and open to all
  • Dancers will be grouped according to age
  • Schedule: 9:30 AM – 2:45 PM
  • Informal showing: Friday, 3:00 – 3:45 PM
  • Cost: $395

Hip Hop Dance Summer Intensive (Half-Day)

July 6 – 10, 2026
For dancers born 2009–2017

This half-day program offers focused hip hop and Jazz training and new hip hop repetoire

  • Hip hop and Jazz technique classes 
  • Learn new repertoire with special guest artist Angelina Da Silva
  • Highly recommended for all 2026–2027 Hip Hop Crew members, and open to all
  • Schedule: 1:45 PM – 4:45 PM
  • Informal showing: Friday, 3:00 – 3:45 PM
  • Cost: $300

Meet our guest teachers

Kai Fitzpatrick (Contemporary)

Kai-Fitzpatrick

Originally from Guelph, Kai is an interdisciplinary performance artist with classical
training in dance, visual art, and music. In April 2024, Kai graduated from the three year professional training program at Dance Arts Institute (formerly The School of Toronto Dance Theatre) under the artistic direction of Sasha Ivanachko. There, he gained strong skills in contemporary technique, improvisation, choreographic interpretation, and partnering. During this time, Kai worked as a summer company member with Frog in Hand Theatre, performing choreography by Colleen Snell. Since graduating, Kai has danced for several contemporary choreographers across Toronto and Montréal including Brandy Leary (Anandam Dancetheatre), Menka Negrani (Productions des pieds des mains), Noël Vézina, and Ranganathan Rajan. Currently, Kai is focusing on the development of his choreographic work through the Choreography Training Program run by Anandam Dancetheatre.

 

Angelina Da Silva (Hip Hop)

Hip Hop summer intensive

Angelina Da Silva is a dynamic dancer based in Toronto, Ontario, with a passion for pushing creative boundaries. She has competed at the Hip Hop International championship in Arizona and has appeared in Canada’s Got Talent Season 2 as a Golden Buzzer Finalist. Currently, she trains at Footnotes Street Dance Academy, where she continues to grow and learn as a dancer and artist.
